How to extract audio from a video

  1. Choose a video: MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI and more.
  2. MP3 is selected. Choose M4A instead to copy AAC audio without any quality loss.
  3. Press Convert and download the audio file.

MP3 or M4A?

MP3 plays everywhere and is saved at 192 kbps, enough for music and speech. Phone videos usually carry AAC audio, which M4A keeps exactly as recorded, with no re-encoding and no quality loss.

The audio keeps its full length, from the first second to the last. To keep only part of it, trim the video first or use the Audio Trimmer on the result.

Your video never leaves your device

Most online video tools upload your file to their servers, process it there and keep it for hours. This tool runs entirely in your browser: the video is read, processed and saved on your device, and nothing is uploaded. There are no ads, no watermark and no sign-up.

Phones write the GPS location and the camera model into every video. Those details are removed by default; untick "Remove location and device info" to keep them.
