Aspect ratio locked: each image keeps its own proportions.

Output format and quality

JPEG, PNG and WebP keep their format. GIF and SVG become PNG; HEIC becomes JPEG.

Applies to JPEG and WebP. Resizing does not always make files smaller.

ⓘ Animated images use their first frame. SVGs are converted to pixels. Original metadata is not copied. Need a smaller file size instead? Image Compressor · Need to cut out part of an image? Crop Image

    How to resize an image

    1. Choose or drop one or more images.
    2. Enter a width or height in pixels, or switch to Percentage. With the lock on, the other side follows each image's proportions. Drag a field's label sideways or use the arrow keys to fine-tune it.
    3. Check the result size, then select Resize and download each image or a ZIP.

    Exact pixels, percentages and enlarging

Unlock the aspect ratio to give every image the same exact width and height. Stretch scales the whole image and may distort it, Fit adds padding, and Fill crops the edges that do not fit. Fill is selected by default, so photos are never squished unless you choose Stretch.

Images are never enlarged unless you turn on Allow enlarging. Enlarged images can look soft because new pixels are estimated from existing ones.

Common sizes such as 1080×1080 or 1920×1080 are only dimensions. Check the current requirements of the site where you will upload the image.

    Formats, quality and file size

JPEG, PNG and WebP keep their format by default. GIF and SVG become PNG, and HEIC becomes JPEG. Animated images use their first frame. JPEG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas get the background color.

A smaller image usually makes a smaller file, but not always: re-encoding can make a file larger than the original. Use Image Compressor when file size matters most.

    Where do my images go?
