How to crop an image online
- Choose or drop an image. The crop editor opens immediately.
- Pick Free or an aspect ratio such as 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9, then drag the box and its handles. Rotate or flip the image if needed.
- Check the result size and format, select Crop image and download the result.
Precise crops
The crop box is measured in the image's real pixels, not screen pixels. Type X, Y, Width and Height, or drag a field's label sideways; the arrow keys, the mouse wheel and the small arrows change a field by 1 pixel (10 with Shift). Zoom in for fine adjustments.
The result has exactly the selected pixels. To scale it to a specific size, use Image Resizer afterwards.
Circles, formats and transparency
Circle crop shows the exact mask on the image. PNG and WebP keep the corners transparent. With Keep original format a JPEG becomes PNG; an explicit JPEG choice fills the corners with the background color. Use 1:1 for a perfect circle.
Keep original format saves JPEG, PNG and WebP in their format; GIF and SVG become PNG and HEIC becomes JPEG. JPEG fills transparent areas with the background color.
Where do my images go?
Images are processed in your browser and are not uploaded or saved by this tool. Filenames and image content are not sent to analytics. The site downloads application code and may record a basic tool view or successful use.
