Syntax & supported phrases
Use five fields. Numbers, * (all values), commas, ascending ranges and / steps are supported. Months accept JAN–DEC; weekdays accept SUN–SAT or 0–7 (0 and 7 are Sunday). No seconds, year, commands, @ aliases, Quartz ?, L, W, #, or H extensions.
When both day fields differ from *, this preview matches either one (OR). This also applies to stepped day fields. Month must always match. Cron dialects differ; check your scheduler before using the expression.
Steps reset within their field: */5 in the minute field means minutes 0, 5, 10…55 of each hour, not five minutes after saving. */7 has a shorter gap across the hour boundary.
Supported phrases: every minute / hour, every N minutes / hours, every day / weekday at a time, and every named weekday at a time. Use am/pm or 24-hour HH:MM. Interval phrases must divide 60 minutes or 24 hours evenly; ambiguous wording is rejected.
